Members of the Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, and Melvins have been part of supergroups before. Dave Grohl formed Them Crooked Vultures, Eddie Vedder worked with Chris Cornel in Temple of the Dog, but now it looks like it’s Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins rallying up some Seattle grunge greats to form what looks like the newest rock supergroup to be launched.

Hawkins has teamed up with Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and Buzz Osbourne “King Buzzo” of the Melvins’ to form a rock trio of their own, Metal Injection reports.

The speculations have officially been confirmed by Matt Cameron’s Instagram post, sharing a photo with him and the two guys, along with posting very short video clips of them working together in the studio on his Instagram Stories.

From Cameron’s posts, it appears that this supergroup came about after the recent Chris Cornell tribute concert where they all performed together.

We’re expecting more info to emerge soon. In the meantime, this is something very exciting to look forward to!
