After nearly a decade away from touring, David Gilmour is back in the spotlight with a new concert film and live album that capture the magic of his Luck And Strange tour. The former Pink Floyd guitarist and singer announced Live At The Circus Maximus, a film chronicling his spellbinding performance at the historic Roman venue, which kicks off the visual component of this new project.

Filmed by longtime collaborator Gavin Elder, the concert takes place at Romeโ€™s Circus Maximusโ€”an ancient site rich with history, now reimagined as a surreal backdrop to Gilmourโ€™s atmospheric soundscapes. This cinematic release will hit IMAX and standard-format cinemas for a limited time only on September 17, presented by Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Releasing.

Fans will not only witness a stirring performance of Gilmour’s solo material and Pink Floyd classics but also experience it in immersive formats. The filmโ€™s audio will be available in stereo 96/24, 5.1 surround, and Dolby Atmos, elevating the grandeur of the performance and venue. Tickets go on sale August 6.

The Luck And Strange Concerts Album

Complementing the concert film is The Luck And Strange Concerts, a new live album due out on October 17. The recordings were compiled from various stops across the tour and will be available in multiple formats, including 4LP vinyl, 2CD sets, and digital releases. These editions highlight the best moments of the tour, curated to offer a seamless listening experience.

The setlist blends tracks from Gilmourโ€™s latest album Luck and Strange with beloved Pink Floyd staples like โ€œComfortably Numb,โ€ โ€œWish You Were Here,โ€ โ€œTime,โ€ and โ€œHigh Hopes.โ€ Notably, the track โ€œBetween Two Pointsโ€ features Gilmourโ€™s daughter, Romany, providing a personal touch to the performance.

For audiophiles and collectors, a Blu-ray edition will also be available with full Atmos mixes and bonus content, including unseen rehearsal footage, behind-the-scenes documentaries, and official music videos. The 2-disc Blu-ray version provides both the Circus Maximus concert and Luck and Strange audio tracks in stunning clarity.

A Super Deluxe Experience for Diehard Fans

For fans seeking the ultimate Gilmour experience, a massive Super Deluxe Edition is being released. This 11-disc box set includes all audio and video formatsโ€”2CDs, 4LPs, 3 DVDs, and 2 Blu-raysโ€”bundled together in a collectorโ€™s package complete with memorabilia.
