Jim Sr. founded Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc. in his home in 1965 originally as a chemical engineering company but soon grew into a music gear manufacturer. Dunlop Manufacturing is most known for their signature guitar picks, straps and pedals, most notably the famous “Cry Baby” wah-pedal used by many musicians such as Kirk Hammet, Zakk Wylde, John Petrucci, and Dimebag Darrel just to name a few.

Steve Salas, famed session guitarist who’s played for Mick Jagger and Rod Stewart as well as many others, also took to social media to pay his respects.

Jim truly set the standard high for fellow guitar gear manufacturers and musicians. His gear was, is, and always will be the first choice for many musicians to hit the stage or or the studio. He will be truly missed.

This is a developing story. We will be posting updates as we learn them.
