Wolfgang Van Halen Shuts Down A Fake Eddie Van Halen Instagram Account In The Most Epic Way!

You’ve seen them, right? Those fake Twitter/Instagram/Facebook accounts claiming to be your favorite rock artists? It truly is a plague that needs to be stopped. There are many reasons why people make these fake accounts, though. Some do it to try and solicit money from random people; others just do it for the attention. Either way, don’t fall for these fake accounts!

One such Instagram account that has been circulating, as of late is a fake Eddie Van Halen account. Apparently, this account has been going around asking people for large sums of money. However, that would all come to a screeching halt when Eddie’s son Wolfgang came across this account!

Hey y’all. This account has been going around and messaging people pretending to be @eddievanhalen (NO UNDERSCORE). If you’re following @_eddievanhalen (WITH AN UNDERSCORE), you’re following the wrong account. Notice how it doesn’t have a verification check? Go report this account, everyone! Wolfgang Van Halen took it upon himself to play along with this fake account by sliding into its DM’s (directly messaging) and acting as if he was really talking to his father, and luckily for us, he tweeted the entire transcript. Enjoy!
