Fallon Takes On Current Events Dressed As Springsteen

Late night host Jimmy Fallon dusted off his tried and true Bruce Springsteen impression during last night’s episode of The Tonight Show, donning a curly mullet wig, bandana, sleeveless denim vest and a pair of snazzy aviator sunglasses as he tore through Springsteen’s version of “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town”.

This wasn’t just any old cover of a Springsteen favorite, though; while he’s not known for his political humor and does his level best to stay away from it in the interest of his shows being lively and uplifting, last night’s show saw Fallon break his own rule to wade into the fray to poke fun at the Donald Trump administration’s latest go around with special counsel Robert Mueller.

Using his best Springsteen voice, Fallon spins the holly, jolly Christmas tune into an 80s rocker of a parody, changing the lyrics to “You better watch out, you better not cry / You better not lie to the FBI / “Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town / Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town” much to the audience’s delight. Love it or hate it, you’ve got to admit that it’s pretty clever. Check it out in the video below and remember: it’s all in good fun!
