Silver Springs Again

On their first ever comeback tour, The Dance, in ’97, Fleetwood Mac wows the audience with the always stunning “Silver Springs” for the first time in a decade. The ballad was always near and dear to Stevie’s heart, written about Lindsey and their breakup, so we know how special it was for her to perform this next to Lindsey.

Interesting Quote: “It was me realizing that Lindsey was going to haunt me for the rest of my life, and he has.” – Stevie Nicks

Sounding more brilliant than ever, Stevie’s vocals in the performance are bone chilling as she softly serenades the crowd and educates them on her previous relationship and the hardships she had to endure throughout it.

After years apart on stage, we can only imagine how meaningful this tour was for the band that was well known for tension and turmoil due to overlapping relationships and confused friendships.

Listening to Lindsey’s beautiful solo still gives us chills to this day, mixed with Mick’s epic drumming, Christine’s life changing piano skills and Stevie’s vocals, it is no wonder why Fleetwood Mac is still one of the greatest folk rock groups in history.
