Vulgar Display Of (Horse)Power, Anyone?

We always forget that as much as we like music, the rest of the animal kingdom does as well. From the bug that apparently really, really likes metal to this cat who really loves hearing its owner play the piano, it never ceases to amaze us the way that animals will react to music of all sorts of genres. Thanks to one man with a killer stereo, a little time to kill and a camera phone, we discovered that not only do horses like heavy metal but they apparently really, really like Pantera – more specifically “I’m Broken” from the band’s 1994 album Far Beyond Driven.

The driver, James Dickson, was cruising through a rural field blasting “I’m Broken” from his car stereo when he happened on a pair of horses grazing through a field; naturally, James cranked it up and began to film, catching one of the horses headbanging and stomping one of its hooves in time with the music. Yep, you read that right: headbanging. Guys, if this isn’t the coolest damned thing I’ve seen all day, I’m not sure what is; I guess it’s true, music really does soothe the savage beast! Check it out in the video below and as always, enjoy!
